Getting out and about...

We believe that the world in which we live should be discovered.. whether this be nature or simply people and our community. 

Our Preschool children visit Randolph House residential home weekly and develop great bonds with the residents through varying types of inter generational play. 

We regularly visit the woods, children take part in den building and nature activities. We spend time feeling, exploring and becoming part of the natural environment. This type of play is proven to support children's emotional health and well being as well as help to teach them an understanding of the natural world around them. 

Early Literacy

Here at Busi Bodies our children are exposed to a rich variety of literacy. The local library service visit us every other week where the children are able to choose the books they'd like to explore deeper. 

We run the 'Imagination Library' for parents. Each child in North Lincolnshire is eligible to receive a FREE book monthly. We ensure your child is registered. We also set up monthly activities around these books so our children develop knowledge and vocabulary. 

Each year we do a 'Rhyme Challenge'. This is a big event where parents and the local community are invited to a sing along with the children. The children practice very hard to learn all these rhymes. It is shown in research that children that know 8 nursery rhymes before they are 5 are proven to do better in their SATS at school. 

Not only this, but our environment is rich is various forms of literature and visual aids to inspire children to develop a love of books and a passion for reading. 

The Key Person Role

Our staff pride themselves on really getting to know our children. The key person role is highly developed to ensure that our children feel safe and secure and that they have a good bond with their key person.
